Early summertime
flower buds just unfurling
anticipation

Awaken to calls
hauntingly beautiful
loon on summer waters

Early morning mist
summer fog banks rolling
mystical magical

Baby birds chirping
incessant calls to parents
summertime growth spurt
Poem 5:
Squirrels racing up
and down and all around
the trees in summer bloom
Poem 6:
Deep into summer
hot hazy humid air
settles all around me
Poem 7:
Blueberry picking
at the height of summer
scrumptious sweet pies cooling
Poem 8:
The summer sun sets
Lightning bugs flash brightly
tiny dots in darkness
Poem 9:
Mosquitoes buzzing
brown bats swoop in summer dusk
heroes of the night

Paddling silently
kayak on quiet waters
summer reflections
