October, 2004
A series of ten Haiku poems.

A hint of autumn
cooling temperatures
tomatoes red and ripe

Poem 2:

Maples leaves yellow
the first sign of autumn
colors changing slowly

Poem 3:

Starry autumn nights
Orion leads the hunt
his faithful dogs nearby

Poem 4:

Birds in migration
swoop on autumn thermals
heading south for winter

Poem 5:

Gazing to and fro
autumn colors dazzle
with orange, yellow, red

Poem 6:

Leaves fall one by one
brilliant autumn colors
swirling, dancing, floating

Poem 7:

Woolly bears tiptoe
feeding on grasses and weeds
among autumn leaves

Poem 8:

Autumn frost settles
on scary pumpkin carvings
Halloween is near

Poem 9:

Mums and foxgloves bloom
their seeds will scatter soon
as autumn nears its end

Poem 10:

Tree colors shimmer
kayak on cold, calm water
autumn reflections
